Capita Further and Higher Education (www.capitafhe.co.uk), the company behind UNIT-e, the student record tracking solution, has announced that it has retained its Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Network for the fourth year running.
Capita FHE had to demonstrate its ability to meet customers’ needs through a comprehensive series of tests and detailed customer references. Gold Partner status is only given to companies of the highest quality that meets the exacting operational and customer service standards set out by Microsoft.
Rob Elliott, product manager, Capita FHE, said: “Achieving Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status demonstrates the quality of our UNIT-e software. The reason it is so important is that much of the certification process relies on our customers themselves testifying to the value of the product and how successfully it integrates with Microsoft software. We supplied nine detailed positive customer references and received an impressive 89 percent satisfaction score on a customer feedback survey.
“The fact that we have gained further competencies and had more of our software accredited than before shows our commitment to helping our customers realise their vision of a total solution for education management that integrates seamlessly across their organisation.”
UNIT-e is central to supporting an effective management process in a variety of post-16 education and training institutions throughout England, Scotland and Wales. It covers the whole student lifecycle from online enquiries, applications and enrolments through to timetabling, attendance marking, examinations and professional placements.
“Customers are looking for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities,” said Allison Watson, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “They need to trust in a company that can act as an expert adviser for their long-term strategic technology plans. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, which have certified expertise and direct training and support from Microsoft, can build a positive customer experience with our technologies. Today, Microsoft recognises Capita Further and Higher Education as a Gold Certified Partner for demonstrating its expertise in providing customer satisfaction using Microsoft products and technology.”
As part of the partnership certification, Capita FHE has retained Microsoft competencies in independent software vendor solutions and security solutions, and has been awarded a new competency in small business, demonstrating the software’s capacity to be used by both small and large learning providers.
Unit-e is built using Microsoft .NET technology.
