Capita combines its document management businesses


Capita Randall Lyons and Capita Document Services have merged to form a single end-to-end electronic document management business and will now trade as Capita Total Document Solutions.

Capita took the decision to consolidate the businesses to maximise their complementary skills and resources. “Combining our resources, products and expertise makes good business sense”, says Max Goodison, Managing Director of Capita Total Document Solutions. "We can now respond more effectively to our clients’ strategic needs and on a much larger scale.”

Pete O’Brien, Director of Capita Private Software Sector added: “Capita Total Document Solutions has the capacity to manage documents throughout their entire lifecycle. By integrating our solutions, we’ve removed the need for multiple suppliers which will help new and existing customers to reduce costs and improve business continuity, efficiency and control.”

Capita Total Document Solutions will offer electronic document management (EDM) and workflow solutions as well as document storage, retrieval and specialist services such as microfilm conversion, optical character recognition (OCR) and remote hosting.
