Capita Further and Higher Education (FHE) has always looked for opportunities to recognise the outstanding work of the FE sector through sponsorship and awards, so we were very pleased to sponsor the AoC Student of the Year Award 2009.
This year, the Ceremony took place in the early evening on the first day of the AoC Annual Conference at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham. It was hosted by television personality, comedian and author of 'A Beginner's Guide to Acting English' ,Shappi Khorsnadi.
The AoC Student of the Year Award aims to highlight outstanding student achievement, often in adversity, and celebrates the amazing success stories so common to the FE sector. The judging panel shortlisted four worthy finalists and they were all present at the AoC Awards Ceremony.
