CV hints and tips

A CV should always contain the following sections:

Personal details including full contact details and EU postal address
Employment history (most recent first) including job title, main responsibilities and dates
Qualifications (most recent first)
Key achievements.

In addition:

your CV should always reflect your responsibilities and achievements
first impressions are important - always check for spelling and grammatical errors
it is important to remember to include all relevant experience as we can only judge your suitability on what you tell us - it should not be too long however, usually two pages are enough
try to refrain from adding extended personal profiles - you will be able to expand on your experiences and achievements in more depth if invited to interview.

When applying to Capita:

we can only open and process files formatted as MS Word, applications in other formats will be returned as we are unable to read them
please refrain from using text boxes as our conversion software for our database cannot read information that is not part of the original word document
please refrain from placing any passwords or restricted access on you file, as this will result in your CV being returned to you to be unlocked
please include your email address in your CV document as it will stored separately from your original email message.
